The first President

of the St. Augustine's CWL

Mrs. E. J. (Katherine) Barclay.

Membership fees were set at $1 a year.

Meetings were held the first Friday of each month.

Mrs. Barclay

was the widow of

Mr. E. James Barclay.

She was known for her many charitable works

both

in the church and in the community.

Today the president is

Leona Smithson.

Membership fees are $20 a year.

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month.

Leona Smithson

is a fairly new member of the CWL.

She has quickly accepted roles on the executive

and performed them well.

Leona is a second generation member,

her mother, Eileen Suski,

has been a member for 30 years.

Leona and her husband, Allan,

have been married for 28 years

and have 2 sons.

Leona has been employed

as an executive assistant for 35 years.
